Happy Sunday and HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all the men out there holding it down for everyone around them. We live in such wild times that being a man apart from being taken for granted can be deadly especially if you are black. A lot of the time WE as a society put so much pressure on our men and forget that they are ONLY human. We put too much expectations on our men and we sometimes forget to be appreciative especially to those who are trying and are out there handling their business.
TODAY! Ami Tamakloe is saying thank you on behalf of all women, children, sons, daughters and everyone else who benefits from having a responsible man around. People, listen to me… we cannot be taking our men for granted at all. Especially those who show up, these fathers deserve the world. The men who have stepped up and played the role of fathers need not be forgotten either. The grandfathers, the uncles, mentors, big brothers, cousins, step-dads, foster fathers…the list is endless.
If you are here today and you are blessed to have your biological father, and he handled his business and he loves you, you better buy him a trophy and tell him how much you love him. If you also happen to fall into the squad where other people have stepped in as a father to you because of circumstances, take the time and say thank you to those men. Men deserve love too.
