Hello lovelies
If you are reading this, I am sure you are alive… hooray!!! That’s a gift and I hope you are throwing yourself a party. Thank you for joining me on this blog as we navigate ourselves through our individual groups within the communities.
The last time we met, I had with me, a group of energetic young men who educated us on what it meant to be a man (from their perspective at least). I learned a lot and honestly on todays episode, I don’t know what to expect because these men are not youngins and it feels like I just summoned my two uncles to have sit down and talk about themselves.
Anywho, I am stoked to talk to these men because I am without doubt that I will learn so much from them and I am sure you will too. Also I am looking forward to see if there are any parralels that show from this conversation. After all, these men are from different continents and have never met each other. That is the beauty in community huh? Remember this series is all about getting perspective from the people with whom we share community who might be different that us.
Can I say this? Black people are one of the most beautiful people to ever walk this earth and it is in our diversity our beauty flourishes. Always remember my lovelies that YOU MATTER, your life mattes, your brain matters and everything that makes you…you matters. DO NOT forget to show yourself some love. Fill your love cup so you have enough for you which could then extend to the rest of the world.
I love you.. remember to wash your bloody hands, sanitize for Gods sake, mask up (do not be that person especially in pubic spaces) and keep your fingers out of your nostrils (you are not a f***ing leprechaun and there is no gold in your sinuses). I say this all out of love. lol. I do really love you guys and I hope you enjoy the podcast <3.
